NowSMS v5.51b Update
An updated patch, v5.51b, is available for the Now
SMS/MMS Gateway software product. This is a
maintenance release that provides some additional
configuration flexibility and product enhancements. A
complete list of enhancements can be found at the
link below, however we will mention a few highlights
here.
When it comes to configuring phone settings over-
the-air (OTA), one of the most common questions of
late has been the ability to provision settings for
general internet connectivity (without a proxy). The
OMA OTA configuration dialog has been enhanced to
properly support sending out OTA settings that do
not contain a proxy.
We've also added configuration settings to allow
customised retry handling for message delivery.
SMPP connectivity has been enhanced with improved
support for SMSCs that use optional TLV
(tag/length/value) parameters. Message
segmentation and port addressing can now be
specified through TLV parameters instead of direct
UDH (user data header) settings. Additionally, we've
added support for setting MBlox's premium rate SMS
parameters when connecting to MBlox via SMPP.

Dear Bryce,
For those who don't keep up with discussions on the
Now SMS/MMS Discussion board, we'd like to take
this opportunity to point out some of the more
interesting recent discussions, and relevant product
updates for the Now SMS/MMS Gateway.
We'd also like to introduce the Now IMP Server, an
Instant Messaging server that supports both mobile
phones and PC desktop clients via support for the
Open Mobile Alliance (Wireless Village) Instant
Messaging and Presence Services (IMPS)
specification and XMPP (Extensible Messaging and
Presence Protocol).

Now Instant Messaging and Presence Server

The NowIMP Server is an Instant Messaging
and Presence Server that supports both
mobile phones and PC desktop clients.
Users can communicate with each other using
instant messaging technology whether they are
connected on the same Local Area Network, or
connected through mobile wireless technology.
Mobile phone clients are supported through
the NowIMP Server's implementation of the
Open Mobile Alliance (Wireless Village)
Instant Messaging and Presence Services
(IMPS) specification.
PC desktop clients are supported through the
NowIMP Server's implementation of the
XMPP (Extensible Messaging and Presence
Protocol). A Windows based desktop client
supporting XMPP is bundled with the NowIMP
Server to enable instant communications.
External connectivity is supported with a built-in e-
mail gateway, allowing IM users to send
messages to e-mail recipients, and allowing e-mail
users to send messages to IM recipients. E-mail
connectivity provides a simple built-in API for
alert management, allowing automated
applications to interface with the Instant Messaging
network.

OTA Settings without Proxy/Gateway

From the discussion board ...
I am trying to use NowSMS to send the UK Orange
GPRS internet settings to a Nokia 6600. I have tried
to leave the wap gateway IP blank from the page,
and the settings make it to the phone, but it says it's
unable to save them. I have tried entering 0.0.0.0,
and that works, but sets the proxy IP to 0.0.0.0
which is obviosuly no good. I have also tried
entering "192.168.071.035" which is an IP I found
from http://www.filesaveas.com/gprs.html but while
that makes it to the phone, it doesn't actually work.
So basically, I would like to know if there is there
anyway of specifiying "None" for the proxy IP from
the OMA OTA settings page?

E-Mail Client Provisioning on P900/P910

From the discussion board ...
Can you help me with e-mail Client Provisioning on
P900/P910 ?
Sending E-mail CP using OTA or OMA seams to be a
dead end for SEM devices in general, (- only OTA for
GPRS/APN and SyncML works). Using Nokia Smart
Messaging to T630 however works (see below). I can
also see that my operator(s) can send e-mail
provisioning to my P900/P910 using what indeed looks
like Smart Messaging.

correctly the Arabic string contained in the binary

the arabic string.

Deleting or Replacing a Previously Sent WAP Push

From the discussion board ...
I remember somewhere saying if we send a wap push
with the si id it will always override older wap push
msg of the same si id. Or we can delete the older
wap push. How can we input it for url submission?
